In San Francisco police arrested a 17-year-old boy's aunt who had been held the 17-year-old captive. The boy showed puu at a gym shackled claiming that he had just fled his captors. Caren Ramirez is the name of the aunt and is the third suspect arrested in the assault against the teen boy. The two other suspects were in jail with a bail set at about $1.2 million each. They were arrested for the suspicion of torture, kidnapping and child abuse. The children of the two had been taken into protective custody. After the child-welfare officials took the teen from his absusive father three or four years previous, the aunt became the teen's legal guardian. After the aunt was arrested for abusing the boy, he was put into a foster home which he fled from in 2007 which was the last time he was seen until Monday when he entered the fitness center.
The main thing I don't understand about this whole thing is why the aunt took him into her custody to get away from an abusive father when she did the same thing. It is a good thing that she is going to get in trouble for what she has done because that is just not right. I do not know how someone would want to beat a child. When the teen boy had disappeared for about a year one would think he was just off doing his own thing but turns out he was being held captive with shackles and all. Had he not ran into that gym that day after escaping he could have been continued to be lost and probably killed or tortured more. I don't understand why people think it's ok to physically hurt another person for now apparent reason other than some disqusting pleasurement for themselves. That makes them no better than anyone, it doesn't make them look tough, and it surely doesn't prove anything. This teen boy will suffer mental health issues for the rest of his life for everything he has been through. Hopefully he can get better and go on in life and make something of himself but it will not be easy, especially the part of getting better mentally.
