‘Sexting’ surprise: Teens face child porn charges

In Pennsylvania, six high school students were caught after sharing nude photos through cell phones. These students are facing child pornography charges after three girls allegedly took nude or partially-nue pictures of themselves and showed them to male classmates using thier phones. The girl students are all 14 to 15 years old. They face charges of manufacturing, disseminating or possessing child pornography while the boys, that are 16 to 17, face charges of possession. Police had found the pictures in October after school officials took a cell phone form a male student who was using it when he wasn't suppose to and found a nude photo of a classmate on it. These students will have to be forced to register as sexual offenders for at least 10 years.

It is really sad to think that these girls took these pictures of themselves just to display for some boys. To do it on your phone is almost as bad as the internet. Anyone could get their hands on that and just send it to a whole bunch of people and there goes your reputation. Any positive image that you wanted of yourself is out the door by man but some may like you more like those boys who got to sneek a peek. It seems very typical for these guys to want to see picture like this especially for thier age. All the trouble these 6 kids have gotten into over this ridiculous thing called "sexting" is totally not worth it. They are now labeled as sex offenders and looked down to by the teachers at school I'm sure. These girls are so young to be doing things like this. It is most likely only going to start worse habits of them to do more sexual things. It's just my opinion but I think that sex is something that you just don't go around doing or bragging about. It is kind of a big deal and one little oops can bring a whole new life into yours and then what are you going to do? I never had a phone until I was in my sophmore year in high school. I see kids at the grocery store that look to be in like 4th or 5th grade who have cell phones and are texting and such. I just find it somewhat crazy that they have them. Who knows what they are sending with that. Everything is starting at younger and younger ages and it's just making a mess for the future.

Wisconsin mayor charged with child-sex crimes

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28660061/

Prosecutors in Madison, Wisconsin charges 51 year old Racine Mayor Gary Becker with child-sex felonies and said that he had gone to a mall to meet a 14 year old girl he thought he had me during an online chat. A state agent had preteneded to be the girl and the mayor was arressted at the mall in Milwaukee. Investegators also found records on 1,800 sexually explicit chats on the mayor's computer. His charges include attempted second-degree sexual assault of a child under 16, possession of child pornography, child enticement, use of a computer to facilitate a child sex crime, attempt to expose a child to harmful material, and misconduct in office. At least one city has wanted him to resign. The mayor waived his preliminary hearing and set his arraignment for Feb. 10th.

Like I have said in other blogs when it comes to little kids, adults should leave them alone as far as sex. It is not right to do any of the things that the mayor has been charged for. I say get him out of office and keep him out of there. It's a scary thought to know he has a wife and two children and he still needs to look at child pornography and try to meet up with a 14 year old girl at a mall. I don't know how old his children are but that must be a horrible thought to know that your own father needs to look at other kids naked pictures to get pleasure. He seems to have had everything. Why mess everything up just because he thinks he needs to look at naked pictures of children who probably don't even know what sex is yet. Everytime I hear of stories of children being abused, sexually or physically, I just get a nasty feeling in my stomach. I still find it hard to believe that older people really need the children to feel better about themselves in not the greatest ways. For the people of Wisconsin, I'm sure there is embarrassment everywhere for them electing this man into office and knowing that he does this sort of stuff. I personally would feel kind of betrayed for him doing this because I am so much against it. I really hope that this man gets punished for what he has done and that more awareness of this sick pleasurement many adults participate in is done to prevent it.

Cockpit items led cops to missing financier

In Quincy, Florida a man was arrested and charged with intentionally wrecking an aircraft and faking a distress call. The man is 38 year old Marcus Schrenker who was a Indiana financial manager. A road atlas and campground directory found in the airplane cockpit helped lead the authorities to the North Florida campsite where Marcus was found. He was arrested Tuesday night when U.S. Marshals found him semiconscious inside a tent muttering the word "die" as he was bleeding for a self inflicted cut on his left wrist. There was a three-day run after he was seen parachute from his plane in an apparent attempt to stage his death and then go to a motorcycle he had stashed in Alabama. He will appear in court in Floriday before he goes back to his home state of Indiana. There he faces prospect of bankruptcy, divorce, and other problems. He will have to pay the $5,100 for the boats and helicopters used in the search-and-rescue.

This man surely did not stage out his fake death that well. When he had a distress call from his plane he stated that the windshield was broken and there was blood everywhere but when the search and rescue team found the plane the windshield wasn't broken and there was no blood to be seen. There had been a checklist that was found on the plane that listed a bunch of issue that had been "wrong" with the plane and there weren't really any of those actually wrong with the plane when it was found. If he wanted this to be a little more realistic, he should have taken more time and effort into it. The officials of the U.S. are pretty smart. I'm not saying that it's okay to stage your own death to run away from problems but if you're going to do it, do it well. He is ending up with more financial problems than he was running away from. It makes no sense to me. When he was found he was basically attempting suicide which i don't understand why he wouldn't just crash in the plane. I thought he was trying to run away from these problems of financial hard times. Maybe he got caught up with stress when he was in the campground and this also was not apart of his plan but just sort of happened...but who knows? We won't know more until they get more out of him.

Victim in Roman Polanski case urges dismissal

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28630140/

At age 13 Samantha Geimer, now 45, was raped by fugitive director Roman Polanski. She lashed out on the Los Angeles County distric attorney's office, saying she is being victimized again by the prosecutors' focus on horrid details of what happened to her. Samantha filed a legal declaration to dismiss the charge against Polanski to save her from anymore trauma as the case is publicized again. She is now a wife and happy mother of three. Samantha is very disappointed that the district attorney "has, yet one more time, given great publicity to the lurid details of those events for all to read again."

Within the article it stated that Polanski is now 75 which mean that he was 43 when he raped Samantha who was 13. That is SICK. I don't understand how a man could put a young girl in such a horrible situation when he easily could find someone his age to try and have a relationship with. It is a very perverted thing to do. As a girl, I have a fear of older men because there has been incidents where they have said very gross things to me and I just don't want anything bad like this to happen to me. It's something that bothers me quite a lot. Especially having three younger sisters it's something that I worry about. There are a lot of "wierdos" out there. I am glad that Samantha has been able to move on and start a new family. It can't be easy to be tortured like that at such a young age and be able to move on a trust a new man to be able to live with him for the rest of her life. I hope that the case will be taken care of so Samantha doesn't have to relive the traumatic experience all over again and again. It not only affects her but now her new family. They have to live through it as well and learn of what she had to go through. It is probably a scary thing to hear for her children especially. She surely deserves to be able to go through her day and not have to have this situation be brought up again for no legit reason.

Mother, 4 children found slain in apartment

In El Reno, Oklahoma a woman and her four kids were kiiled in their apartment. Authorities are looking for the mother's 25-year-old boyfriend. The kids ranged from 3 to 7. An officer had gone to the apartment to check how the family was doing and found them all dead. It is unsure as to how all of them were killed. The investigators stated that they weren't killed by gettin shot or stabbed. a speaker for the medical examiner confirmed the deaths were homicide. The mother's behicle is missing as well as the boyfriend. He has been spotted numerous times all around the state after the killings. The boyfriend has been in and out of jail most of his adult life having to do with car theft and unlawful possession of marijuana.

There is absolutely nothing worse than killing children because they have so much ahead of them and now their opportunities are lost. Whoever committed the insane act of killing these 5 human beings really has something coming to them. If it is the boyfriend that makes it seem so much worse than just a random person. When you know someone loves you and your family its scary to think that they could just turn around and kill them all. Although it isn't positive that the boyfriend did it, it is still something to consider. This reminds me of the case of the young mother who killed her three year old daughter. I watched it almost every night on Nancy Grace and it sounded like she was almost jealous of the fact that everyone loved her daughter more than her. This makes me wonder if the bofriend had a problem with how he was treated compared to the kids by the mother. If he felt that they got all the attention and love instead of him, he could have snapped. Nothing is for sure in this case since it had just happened yesterday but we will have to just wait and see. I still find it hard to believe that someone could kill multiple amounts of people when they had done nothing to deserve it. Killing children is sick and if the person who killed these 5 people has a heart what so ever they would come forward and confess and take thier consequences so the loved ones of this family can be at rest. It will only haunt the person who did it if they don't come forward before they hopefully end up being found.

Man, a killer at 11, sentenced in drug case

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28509445/

In Pontiac Michigan Nathaniel Abraham was sentenced to 20 years in prison on a drug conviction. Now 22, he pleaded guilty in November to a charge of possession with intentions to deliver a controlled substance. When Nathaniel was 11 he shot an 18 year old man and was sentenced 10 years with second-degree murder. He was also arrested for having 254 ecstasy pills in his vehicle which he was seen selling at a gas station. Nathaniel believes that he will make a mistake again because he is human basically but he says "Given the opportunity, I know I can be a success to the community."

Recently I watched a 30 Days episode where the host of the show was put into jail for 30 Days to see what it was like. He discovered that many of the people in that jail had been in jail numerous times before, mostly drug related. This came to my mind while reading this article because this wasn't the first time that Nathaniel was in trouble with the law and it is bound to happen again unfortunately. In the 30 Days episode the host had a conversation with one of the inmates where he talked about not wanting to get arrested again and he wanted to make a positive change in his life. Again I thought about this when the article talked of Nathaniel saying that givin the opportunity he can do good things. As far as I am concerned everyday he wakes up is the opportunity to do something good, instead he chose otherwise. It just seems like these men talk of high hopes and dreams but they don't follow threw with it because they get caught up in the life they have always had. It is difficult to make that derastic of a change but it for surely can be done. Nathaniel deserves the time he has recieved because not only was he harming himself with the drugs, he was opening up the door to so many more to do the same thing with thier lives and get way to caught up in it. I really hope that these next 20 years are used to really get some thinking done like said in the article as well and hopefully not end up back in jail again.
