Victim in Roman Polanski case urges dismissal

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/28630140/

At age 13 Samantha Geimer, now 45, was raped by fugitive director Roman Polanski. She lashed out on the Los Angeles County distric attorney's office, saying she is being victimized again by the prosecutors' focus on horrid details of what happened to her. Samantha filed a legal declaration to dismiss the charge against Polanski to save her from anymore trauma as the case is publicized again. She is now a wife and happy mother of three. Samantha is very disappointed that the district attorney "has, yet one more time, given great publicity to the lurid details of those events for all to read again."

Within the article it stated that Polanski is now 75 which mean that he was 43 when he raped Samantha who was 13. That is SICK. I don't understand how a man could put a young girl in such a horrible situation when he easily could find someone his age to try and have a relationship with. It is a very perverted thing to do. As a girl, I have a fear of older men because there has been incidents where they have said very gross things to me and I just don't want anything bad like this to happen to me. It's something that bothers me quite a lot. Especially having three younger sisters it's something that I worry about. There are a lot of "wierdos" out there. I am glad that Samantha has been able to move on and start a new family. It can't be easy to be tortured like that at such a young age and be able to move on a trust a new man to be able to live with him for the rest of her life. I hope that the case will be taken care of so Samantha doesn't have to relive the traumatic experience all over again and again. It not only affects her but now her new family. They have to live through it as well and learn of what she had to go through. It is probably a scary thing to hear for her children especially. She surely deserves to be able to go through her day and not have to have this situation be brought up again for no legit reason.
